Medincle is a medical spellcheck software company which I have been suppling voice overs for for a number of years. Aimed mainly at doctors and medical students they have a lighthearted almost funny approach. lots of crazy pronunciations working for these folks! 

Any photographer, filmmaker or theatre tech will know this company well, The product shown here is a new LED lighting filter. The voice over needed a clear concise description of the product which was un-flowery and to the point in tone. After all the intended audience are the people usually making videos like these.

I simply fell in love with this project. Based in Antwerp-Belgium Musebooks are a specialist online digital bookshop selling art and exhibition and museum books for users to download or order in hard copy. I think my enthusiasm for their idea came out in the VO. 

I am one of a number of Voice Artists who regularly provide a voice for Boskalis, one of the largest marine contractors on the planet. The sheer scale and size of their work means there is always a new and usually very important project to present to the industry. Peoples lives and regional economies rely on their work, the tone of the voice must represent this.  

This project was a prime example of having to do research into a product to understand the script and then pitch the delivery. Even though I know the broadcast industry quite well, this system and it's uses were a touch off my radar.  

This was a wonderful little project. A new writer approached me to record his rhyming children's story for a personal experiment, it was a lovely chance for the actor in me to take control and tell a little tale.  

Another regular client, SUSE are in international software and IT infrastructure brand. This was my first project for them and is a great example of a "Call to Action" in video. the voice over narrative can clearly be broken down into three main simple but effective actions. "The problem", "The Solution" and "Why Us".

This voice over for Digital Results is an example of re-voicing, the video had already been completed by another well established and great voice but the client felt the voice didn't have quite enough depth and resonance for the brand, which is where I was brought on board.  Making this work at this stage in the process meant to matching the exact timing of the original voice and video whilst following the new tonal direction from the client.  

It's not often a whole new sport you've never heard of (thats already played by thousands of people worldwide) pops into your inbox! But thats just what happened when I was asked to voice this promo for Total Padel. These guys fly around the Caribbean and other hot places putting up Padel Courts. Then I bet they hit the beach, dip their toes in the turquiose ocean eagerly clutching Pina Coladas, and watch the people scuff up their new work..... Thats what I'd do anyway. 

Cyber Crime is a pretty serious business, and these guys at Privatas take it very seriously! They make NATO approved un-hackable Smart Phones designed to deal with the transmission of sensitive and classified data. Serious subject... requires a serious voice...  

Oh to be back in an Italian Spa. Running from the sauna to the steam room.... A little relax by the pool then off for your massage before a dip in the jacuzzi. Not really a hard sell, but the voice still has to define the luxurious nature of the business.

As a voice over artist I'm quite often asked to talk about difficult or sensitive subjects, this project was one such request. With emotions and sensitivities surrounding such subjects it's important to understand your audience and hit the tone accordingly. for this particular project I aimed for an informal conversational feel, almost like a new friend is telling you about very personal and important to them.
